Service Description
Welcome to Daggerheart - A game of collaborative storytelling and cinematic flow. Calling all beginner and seasoned adventurers alike! Love tabletop RPGs like D&D but looking for a system that eases off rigid rules in favour of collaborative cinematic flow? If you’ve spent hours in Dungeons & Dragons pausing the action to debate mechanics, or felt like your creative character choices were boxed in by restrictive mechanics, Daggerheart is the breath of fresh air you’ve been waiting for. Designed for players who crave collaborative storytelling and a more rules-light approach, Daggerheart shifts the focus to a cinematic epic experience. You’ll be engaged even when it’s not your turn, as the spotlight can shift to you at any moment, and both success and failure aren’t just at the toss of a dice. What Sets Daggerheart Apart? ● The 2d12 Hope & Fear System: Every single roll tells a story that goes beyond mere succeed or failure; it tells a story with every possibility in-between. Rolling with Hope grants you resources to pull off incredible, cinematic feats. Rolling with Fear hands the GM an opportunity to introduce unexpected twists while keeping the tension palpable…even on a success. ● Fluid, Dynamic Combat: Say goodbye to waiting 20 minutes for your turn in a rigid initiative order. You know some of the great action movie sequences you’ve seen? That’s Daggerheart. When the narrative calls for action, it operates as a collaborative, fast-paced conversation where narrative momentum dictates the action. It feels more cinematic! ● Less about mix-maxing, more about Character Synergy and flavour: Daggerheart seamlessly binds your character’s unique abilities and backstory to the world and your party, rewarding collaborative play over individual min-maxing. Please note: This program has a very low ratio of 6 participants to each dungeon master. Kids are welcome to bring a school safe snack and a refillable water bottle.
